Custom Power, the Power division of Solid State plc, has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director. Dave Crossman, currently the Global VP & General Manager, will assume the role of Managing Director from 7th April, 2026. He will also become an appointed member of the Executive Board, where he will help guide the Group strategic direction and growth.

Dave joined Custom Power in April 2024 and has since established himself as a driving force behind the company’s international alignment and growth agenda. He has strengthened collaboration between the UK and US operations, sharpening execution and reinforcing Custom Power’s global position. Under his leadership, the business has implemented a clear, unified strategy focused on accelerating growth through deeper customer partnerships, expansion of the product portfolio, and targeted entry into new markets. This approach has already delivered significant contract wins across key sectors including Defence and Aerospace, Medical, and Autonomy, strengthening the order book and underpinning the long term sustainability of the division.
